Bravo Galliano! Geisha saves the day!
Hey everyone, look at what I found last night at style.com - Dior's Spring 2007 collection! And what's more, John Galliano used some geisha fashion in it, which I'm going crazy over it for its beauty and originality!

Here are my top picks from the show!

I like the kimono coat - I want one now!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I love the dyeing technique used on this dress. How it starts as a burgundy at the bottom and fades into white as it climbs!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Hokusai reference, just simply amazing! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

No geisha were hurt or killed in the process! Although I think a woman in the 18th picture stole a couple of kanzashi. ;P

Anyways, if you wanna see the rest, GO HERE! Click on the link below the photo, for the slideshow!

Yeah, it's a total revival of the Dior collection! I love the picture with the fans in the girl's hair. That was very creative of them, I want to have a wig like that now! XD

I love his 'new look' for women in the 1940s, a callback to glamour! I want his lip gloss rings, though! They look so cute! :3

Great minds do think alike! :D

Yeah, the top one reminds me of Kefka, or the long red ballgown!

I know! And what I love is that he used REAL kanzashi (silk-flower hairpieces) from the geisha culture! It is awesome!

I wish I could sew like that at times. *sigh*
